Craft first
Every pixel, transition, and haptic is deliberate. If it looks templated, it isn't done.
Zythos, Inc. · Product Studio
Zythos is a product studio with an obsession for craft. We design premium, social-first experiences where every detail earns its place — starting with Hopstack, the app turning everyday beers into collectible moments and shared connections.
The Studio
Zythos exists to make digital products that feel crafted — software with the weight, warmth, and finish of something physical. We believe the best technology disappears into delight, and that the point of any feature is, ultimately, people.
Every pixel, transition, and haptic is deliberate. If it looks templated, it isn't done.
We design systems that give people a reason to reach out, compare, and meet.
Simple in the first second, rich for years. Depth is always one tap away.
Our Flagship
Connecting people through beer.
Hopstack turns every beer someone drinks into a collectible moment — and every collection into a connection. Snap a photo, an AI identifies it instantly, and it enters your personal collection: catalogued by style, brewery, country, and rarity, then celebrated with XP, progression, and social sharing. Think Vivino's depth crossed with Pokédex collector mechanics — but the end goal isn't a beer database. It's people, connected through what they drink.
How it works
Snap a photo or search by name. Server-side AI auto-fills style, brewery, ABV, and country. Rate it, add notes, log it in seconds.
Every log feeds the Beerdex — ~190 styles across 16 families. Styles unlock visually as you discover them, progressing from Taster to Completionist.
Variable-reward XP for new styles, countries, and rarity. A common lager earns ~10 XP; a rare import from a new country can earn 130+. Golden Caps fly into your level bar.
The social layer is where Hopstack becomes more than a logging app — every system gives you a reason to reach out, compare, and meet.
The Social Layer
Every feature is engineered to turn a private hobby into a shared one.
The like button is two pint glasses clinking — with custom haptics, on every post.
A poke analog: cheers friends directly and build cheers streaks that keep you coming back.
A visual palette of your taste, built from your ratings. Visit a friend and compare radars side by side.
A GitHub-style, beer-themed grid of your logging activity, plus deep personal statistics.
Compare unique styles, total beers, and XP with friends — locally and globally.
Conversations start where tastes overlap — the app makes the introduction.
Friends' posts come first, but the algorithm deliberately widens the circle — nearby friends-of-friends, popular posts from your area, and breakout posts from around the world. The feed introduces you to people, not just beers.
How it's built
iOS-only by design — 120 Hz ProMotion, Core Haptics, and native-thread spring animations. The visual language is warm amber and art-deco geometry: gold radiating lines, diamond motifs, and metallic gradients.
Every beer style gets a culturally accurate glass — a tulip for IPAs, a stange for Kölsch, a chalice for Trappist ales. It's the kind of detail most apps skip, and exactly the kind we won't.
Philosophy
The Beerdex, XP, and maps are engines; the destination is people. Every system gives users a reason to reach out, compare, compete, and meet.
Every component must feel crafted and premium. If it looks templated, it isn't done.
Every interaction leaves a trace — a Cap landing, a country lighting up, a streak extending. Variable rewards and haptic punctuation are structural, not decorative.
A first-timer logs a beer in seconds; an enthusiast chases 190 styles across the globe. Depth is one tap away, never a prerequisite.
Every decision answers two questions: Does this feel premium? and Does this create accomplishment, anticipation, or connection?
